"Not sure how the reviews are anything but 5 stars. First of all; the staff is amazing. Warm, inviting and friendly. My husband got the “catch of the day” which was a BEAUTIFUL large portion of Grouper. It came with fresh veggies and was doused in the most DELICIOUS sauce we have ever tasted. I’m a crab GIRLY so of course that was my go to. Fresh, meaty.. to die for. Our waitress Christina was not only a sweetheart but very attentive and helpful. She even cracked jokes with us and gave us some local advice. We were a bit weary after reading some reviews but we are so glad we didn’t base our opinion on that. One of the highlights of our 10 day trip for sure. We will be back EVERY time we come to Destin. (Yes, it’s a bit pricey… but you’re eating fresh seafood on the harbor in a giant tourist attraction area…. Just saying… it’s to be expected for people who travel) My advice. Don’t miss out and come here!"

"Great place for lunch and dinner! Peel and eat shrimp basket, corn and sausage is $32! Awesome views over the wharf, boats and TVs to watch! Fried pickles, crab legs basket, corn and sausage!"

"This place was very recently updated. I understand there is a new fresh menu, as well as an upgrade to the inside of the restaurant. Jose was our Dominican waiter, and he was extremely attentive. We sense he has experience in fine dining. So far, his has been the best service we have received while dining in the area. The timing of our appetizers and food arriving at the table was perfect. We ordered a bottle of wine, Jose checked on us quietly and frequently to fill our wine glasses. Our 16 and 11 year old kids were with us. They don't have it on the menu, but if you ask for something like chicken strips, they do have it, which made this enjoyable for all of us. Our meals were PERFECT! The calamari was very good and so was our entrée. I recommend the Tournedo, which is two tenderloin medallions topped with scallops, a nice sauce, and vegetables. The executive chef came out to greet our table. He offered a little insight as to how they prepared the meal and how they are working through menu items, which he suggests may be tweaked as the restaurant gets fully underway again. Our service and food was 1st class. Thank you, Poppy's Crazy Lobster, for making this such an enjoyable experience for my family."

"What a fantastic dining experience at Poppy’s Seafood Factory in Sandestin! We started with the Whipped Goat Cheese, a new addition to their menu and it was absolutely delicious. Next up were the char-grilled oysters, and wow… just incredible. We also tried a cup of gumbo and the lobster roll, both of which were flavorful and fresh. The lobster roll was packed with lobster and so tasty! We were especially impressed by the hospitality. AJ, the owner, personally stopped by our table to check in. He was so friendly, and it was clear he has a real passion for his restaurant. We also spoke with the manager, Scott, who was equally kind and clearly keeps everything running smoothly. Highly recommend dining at Poppy’s, great food, excellent service, and a team that truly cares. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit!"
